First recorded by alt-pop band Black Janet in the late 1980's, ‘Masters of Deception’ was a critical observation of America during the Reagan era. Recognizing that the song's lyrics were just as relevant today as they were when the country was led by the former actor, SkyRider recorded Wurster doing an updated version of the song on his guitar. With just the basic tracks, vocal and guitar, SkyRider added his musical talents and production skills to create his signature acid folk sound.

‘Masters‘ first appeared on SkyRider’s debut album titled “47:34”, released late in 2004, and due to the length the song was reworked to appear on this 7”.

Pleased with what they created, Wurster and Skyrider plan to do more recording in the near future.

Everyone’s Teen Beat idol, Odd Nosdam (Anticon/Cloudead), who appeared on side B, chose to remix 'No Good', from SkyRider debut album 47:34. Nosdam cuts through Skyrider's smoke and mirrors mirage revealing the sensitive core of the song. The listener is moved to introspection, allowing the placid soundscape to float them away.

SkyRider’s music continues to slip through most genres to focus only on making good music.
